Matt: "Rachel, go to bed!" (after about the 5th time)
Rachel: "Where's Jessi??" (very concerned)
Matt: "She's in bed."
Rachel: "No she's not. She's not in her bed."
Matt: "Rachel, where have you been sleeping the last 2 nights?"
Rachel: "In my bed"
Matt: "Rachel, you're a very 'special' child"
Rachel: "Thank You!!!" (very enthusiastically)
All 3 kids have been 'spending the night' in Grandpa's bed while he's spending the weekend at his sister's house because my mom is spending the weekend here for my brother, Steven's high school graduation.
This is our clueless, 'special' Rachel. Always making us laugh - spending a lot of time in a place we affectionately call, "Rachel Land". She comes out to visit our world more often than she used to, but she still likes to retreat to her comfort zone in Rachel Land.

I was talking to the teacher about our "special" child. She looked right at Random and said "We're all just waiting for you to flip that switch on in your brain and join us." He looked at her and said "there's a switch?" *sigh* He's very special. :-D
I can totally hear Rachel asking something like that - HA!
This has GOT to mean that they are little geniuses who's brains are just growing too fast for them to keep up or something, right? We can only hope...
Trish it sounds like she's taking after her Aunt Kim who is still an airhead. Poor Rach!
My "special" one always comes up with really off-the-wall questions that I cannot even begin to answer (such as, "If you threw fingernails in the fireplace, would they burn or would they melt?") I think you are right - their brains must be going a mile a minute!
