Reenlistment

Matt reenlisted last week for 6 more years. It was a big decision, but that's all he has left until retirement from the military and military retirement is a good thing. We want to be set in our old age (Hee-Hee) and not have to worry about retirement so much (for those of you who really know me you know how much I worry about everything - retirement being one of them). And if he did it for the whole 6 yrs in one lump instead of breaking it up into 3 yr increments he gets a huge signing bonus, which will be tax-free since he signed the paperwork in Iraq.

Not having to worry about retirement is a true blessing and getting a bonus while overseas is even better.

You make me sick. Bragging, in your naive way, over your husband cheating the government out of taxes while simultaneously serving as a member of an invading army is disgusting. How many Iraqi civilians have the luxury of worrying about early retirement when the U.S. military has systematically destroyed their country, their culture, and their livelihoods over the past 27 years?
