Halloween

The kids had a lot of fun today - first we went to Scholastic Book Fair Warehouse (where I volunteer for books) until it was time for Aunt Sue's retirement lunch. After lunch we went back to Scholastic until Aunt Sue got off work for the LAST TIME EVER!!! Then, since she didn't have to go back to work the next day she came trick-or-treating with us. The kids had a lot of fun, especially since they got a lot of compliments on their costumes. Jessica was a 'Goth Vamp', Rachel a 'Gypsy', and Jimmy had an 'Alien Encounter'. I didn't have time or the money (Yes - homemade can be much more expensive) to make all new costumes this year so we recycled Jimmy's, who wanted to anyway because of the response he got last year, and Rachel's who is wearing Jessica's from last year. Can you believe that this time last year Jessi was about Rachel's size (just a tiny bit bigger & taller)??? It's amazing how fast they grow at this age. That's what Matt is so bummed about - when they were babies they all grow at pretty much the same rate & do things generally around the same time, but right now is when they really begin to develop their true personalities & they're growing & changing so much each & every day.
